Troop 17 is one of New York City's oldest Scout Troops. Founded in 1914 we have been serving Queens and moulding young boys into responsible young men for over 110 years! We are staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers, many of whom grew up in the Troop. The adult leaders' dedication and years of Scouting experience makes our program safe, exciting, and fun! We strive to train youth in teamwork, leadership, and self-reliance. We aim to instill values in young boys and to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.
